The topics found in this collection include self-paced professional learning courses offered on PBS TeacherLine designed for the K-12 field. Choose the topic to the left to see courses available in each topic.

Learners will receive a certificate at the end of each course, which will include the date of completion, PD hours earned, and an EILA number. Experienced SBDM council members in Kentucky can take the SBDM Experienced Member Training courses to meet their hours for yearly training as required by KDE. Many of these courses were developed in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education to meet the professional learning needs of today's teachers.

  • Operation Preparation

    Developed in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education and the Department of Workforce Development, this self-paced course on PBS TeacherLine provides volunteers with a step-by-step guide for conducting college and career advising sessions with eighth and tenth grade students. It also demonstrates how to use the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) tools with students. There are two self-paced modules in this course. At the end of the course, learners have the option to complete a quiz in order to earn a Certificate of Completion.
