        Pearl Harbor

        In this KACV educational unit about World War II, students will learn about the attack on Pearl Harbor. Students will consider whether the attack could have been prevented and learn that proper communication is vital to protect society and to prevent conflict. The unit includes video interviews with WWII veterans, a student research handout, and a lesson plans.

        Harry Lowe: Pearl Harbor

        Harry Lowe shares his impressions and recollections of the attack on Pearl Harbor in this video teaching module from KACV's local perspective on "The War". On December 7th, Mr. Lowe had just finished cleaning up after a “battle of the bands” party at the Fleet Recreation Center at Pearl Harbor. In this segment he recalls enemy planes flying over, the initial reaction about the attack, and a close call he experienced.
