This professional development module on reading fluency for grades 2-3 explores best practices for engaging young learners. The content of this module correlates to common core standards for ELA. Teachers model strategies helping students increase their ability to read fluently through multiple readings of the same material with feedback from the teacher. Teachers monitor students' reading with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension. Students should read orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, and expression on successive readings.
