This video segment from Race to Save the Planet: "Only One Atmosphere" describes several climatic changes that have been linked to global warming and explains how the greenhouse effect warms the Earth. Three key greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, methane, and chlorofluorocarbons [CFCs]), produced by human activities, influence the greenhouse effect. In particular, a positive correlation between carbon dioxide levels and global temperatures since 1880 is noted.
