Viewers learn that polar bears have long legs and claws to handle the terrain, as well as a strong sense of smell that can track a smell up to three kilometers away. They also learn that the walrus uses the power from its back flipper to propel through the water and its side flippers to steer through the water.

Viewers learn that the Sperm whale can dive deeper than any other whale, has flexible ribs that can fold under intense pressure, and have a thick layer of skin to keep them warm. They also use echolocation to get a sound picture of what is around them in the ocean!

  • Discovering Senses (A Sixth Sense)

    Join the Wild Kratts team as they discover the "sixth sense" that platypus's have: electroreception! The team explains that electroreception allows the platypus to sense electrical charges in the surrounding area and figure out what is in the environment!
