They learn that the Elasmosaurus are air breathers that can hold their breath for a long time underwater, and that they use their long necks to catch fish.

    In this Dinosaur Train episode, the Pteranodon family takes the train underwater to meet Carla Cretoxyrhina, a young shark much nicer than her reputation suggests. The Pteranodon family learns that the Cretoxyrhina--a prehistoric species of shark which has been around since the Cretaceous period--uses their sense of smell to hunt.

  • Dinosaur Train | The Amazing Michelinoceras Brothers

    In this episode of Dinosaur Train, the Pteranodon family takes the train under the sea to meet two backwards-bounding brothers named Max and Mitch Michelinoceras who are mollusks from the Triassic period. They have eight arms each and a shell which both grows with them and helps them to move quickly.

    Buddy, Tiny, and Mr. Pteranodon join Annie Tyrannosaurus, Leroy Lambeosaurus, and their dads for Dads’ Day at the Big Pond. The Tyrannosaurs lead the gang in an animal tracking hunt, and they play a game using their hearing to find each other.
