Operation Preparation is a joint effort of the Kentucky Department of Education, the Department of Workforce Development, and KET. The purpose of this training is to prepare community volunteers for their advising sessions with students.
Developed in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education and the Department of Workforce Development, this self-paced course on PBS TeacherLine provides volunteers with a step-by-step guide for conducting college and career advising sessions with eighth and tenth grade students. It also demonstrates how to use the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) tools with students. There are two self-paced modules in this course. At the end of the course, learners have the option to complete a quiz in order to earn a Certificate of Completion.
