Mimi and Dona shows a touching relationship between a mother and daughter, and the highs and lows of their life together. Viewers will focus and learn about a pressing social issue—finding appropriate housing and support for this vulnerable population—and foster greater respect and compassion for the families and caregivers of people with disabilities. The guide provides resources and suggestions for areas to take action and to explore.

We follow Mimi and Dona as they go about their daily lives. They spend their time going to the salon, enjoying meals, and watching their favorite television programs together.

    In this clip, Mimi and Dona share a tender moment as they awkwardly stumble through the Lord's Prayer before bed on the night before Dona is scheduled to move out.
