The Young People's Concerts have been going on for at least 30 years. Funded by the Learning Bank, a consortium of the Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead public school districts, the goal is to provide one high-quality arts experience for elementary students each year. For example, first graders see a live puppet theatre production, second graders to a theatre production at FMCT, third graders go to the Plains Art Museum, fourth graders hear a symphony concert, fifth graders have gone to a Jazz Arts Group concert and sixth graders attend a dance/ballet production. Other schools participate in our Young People's Concerts including F-M area parochial schools and schools from communities throughout the region (including Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls and others).
