The Search for the Origin of Life: Ask a Scientist
The Origin of Life team hits the streets of Venice Beach, California, to talk to the public about the how life started on Earth. Discover what happens when scientists and non-scientists compare perspectives on this interesting topic.
During the film, researchers from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory go to Venice Beach and set up a booth with a sign reading “How did life begin? Real answers from real scientists.” If you were on Venice Beach, what questions would you ask the scientists? Why?
If you were in the booth on Venice Beach, what answer would you give to people who ask, “How did life begin?”
How would YOU feel about being put in this position--answering questions for the public at a booth on Venice Beach? What did the scientists do well that you might try to incorporate?
