        Parents, Kids and Technology

Explore the ways in which teens and adults differ in their use of the Internet and technology. Understand the importance of parent-teen communication about online use and safety. Most parents tend to use the Internet to retrieve information while most kids use it to connect with friends through instant messaging and texting. Since kids grew up with technology, there seems to be a generation gap with respect to adults' and kids' use of technology. For example, kids appear to be able to multitask quite well, such as doing homework while listening to music/TV and instant messaging/texting with their friends.
