Frame Ask your students to name all of the dinosaurs they know and write them on the board or on a flipchart (allow for children to repeat each other’s answers). Underline the first letter of each dinosaur’s name and ask the children if each dinosaur’s name began with the same letter (No). Ask your students to identify the first letter of each dinosaur’s name that is listed. Ask them if they think there is a dinosaur name for every letter of the alphabet.
Focus Ask your students to listen for names of familiar dinosaurs in the clip of Mr. Conductor singing, “Dinosaurs A to Z”.
Follow-Up Ask your students:
“What were some of the dinosaurs named that you already knew?” (Accept all answers)
“What were some of the dinosaurs named that you just learned?” (Accept all answers)
“Did Mr. Conductor list a dinosaur for each letter of the alphabet?” (Yes)
