Skeletons of the Sahara: Part 4

In this clip from Skeletons of the Sahara, National Geographic Explorer Paul Sereno's team uses prehistoric garbage piles of everyday items to help form a portrait of the people who lived off the lake when the Sahara was green. They hunted wild game with sharpened stones, fished with barbed harpoons and well-crafted hooks, decorated their pots, and made beads out of stones and ivory. Sereno identifies both civilizations of the Goboro as hunter-gatherers, though they depended on different resources in the environment.
