        Mrs. Jackson's Letter

        In this interactive activity, students will read a letter a Mrs. Jackson wrote to Congress about Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama--in which, on March 7, 1965, approximately 600 Civil Rights marchers were attacked by State Troopers--after witnessing the events on televation. Students will discuss the effect of television on responses to the Civil Rights Movement.
