        Circa 1655, French philosopher, mathematician and physicist Pascal Blaise (1623 - 1662) who formulated a geometric theorum at 16 and went on to produe the first mechanical adding machine, founded the mathematical laws of probability and devised a law in physics now known as Pascal's law.
