        Dorchester Park

The site of a historic disaster, Dorchester Park was once ravaged by a devastating flood in 1935. Thousands of families were left homeless and millions of dollars of damage had been done to the region. In the 1940’s the Army Corps of Engineers constructed the Whitney Point Dam to serve as flood protection. Today, Dorchester Park offers its visitors a beautiful vista, boating and swimming amenities as well as picnic grounds.
