Dinosaur Train | Make a Dragonfly

This Dinosaur Train "Make a Dragonfly" resource group includes two videos, a lesson plan, and an image exploring the topic of insect anatomy. Students first watch the "Dragonfly" video to learn about the dragonfly's anatomy and how it has helped them to survive over time. They then watch the "Don's Dragonfly" video which illustrates the 3-part body of a dragonfly. Lastly, students build a dragonfly while learning about its origins.

Visit the Dinosaur Train website for more resources.

        Dinosaur Train | Don's Dragonfly

Don makes a new friend with red feet -- a dragonfly named Howard. The dragonfly is a very old species that many kids (and adults) will be surprised to learn lived on Earth millions of years before the first dinosaur. And, the dragonflies' features and daily life have changed very little after so many years.
