        Salmon Tracking

In Alaska, a group of campers track the movement of salmon in Steep Creek. Kids want to know: How far upstream are the salmon traveling? How many days have they been in a certain location? The kids catch salmon, put radios in the fish, and then release them. Three days later they go back and analyze the data. The campers also learn vocabulary such as "spawned out" and "redd."
