        Hanford Mills Museum

Named after innovator David Josiah Hanford, Hanford Mills started as a water-powered mill and quickly expanded into a complex that included a sawmill, gristmill, and hardware store. The mill also provided electric power to the surrounding community. The mill closed in 1967 but reopened as a museum a few years later. Today visitors can see an authentic mill in operation as well as the other historic buildings on the grounds.
