        Nebraska History Moment: Henry Jackson the Painter

        William Henry Jackson was one of the most prolific American artists/photographers of the late 1800's and early 1900's. He witnessed much of this nation's history, recording it with thousands of photographs, and hundreds of sketches, drawings and paintings.

        Nebraska History Moment: Artists Robert Henri & John Falter

        Robert Henri first started painting after moving to Philadelphia at the age of 20. He had considerable influence as a portrait painter and art instructor. John Falter was born in Plattsmouth, Nebraska in 1910 and moved to Falls City in 1916.

        Nebraska History Moment: Nebraska's State Song

        "Beautiful Nebraska," written by Jim Fras who came to Nebraska from Russia in 1952. The song was chosen to be the official Nebraska state song in 1967.
