        Ukraine’s Interim Prime Minister Appeals for Aid During U.S. Visit

        Beginning with civil unrest in Ukraine resulting from the desire of citizens to foster closer relations with Western countries, Russia has taken the opportunity to re-integrate ethnic Russian enclaves.

        Eastern Europe Expresses Concern about Russian Aggression

        PBS NewsHour, March 11th, 2014: Crimea is on the cusp of a vote on whether to leave Ukraine and become a part of Russia, a move opposed by Ukraine's government and world leaders. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will meet with the Russian foreign minister in London in an attempt to negotiate ahead of the Crimea vote.
