A Raisin in the Sun Revisited: Chapter 4

This segment of A Raisin in the Sun Revisited shows key moments in the first act of the Pulitzer Prize winning play Clybourne Park. The playwright, Bruce Norris, imagines the 1950s-era white Chicago family who sold their Clybourne Park house to the Younger family, the protagonists of A Raisin in the Sun. The white sellers, Bev and Russ are approached by neighbors representing the neighborhood association and urged to renege on the deal. Norris captures this tense time in American history, finding humor and humanity in these tension-filled exchanges.
