Marshall Plan (1948) and Resource Materials

This resource consists of a facsimile of and a photograph related to the Marshall Plan. Signed into law by President Truman on April 3, 1948, the Marshall Plan allocated $13.3 billion to help rebuild European economies after World War II. For the United States, it provided markets for American goods, created reliable trading partners, and kept the Soviet Union from expanding its sphere of influence into Western Europe.
