Special Mom Day Meal - Part 1 | Sid the Science Kid

Sid wonders what his stomach is trying to tell him when it makes noises. At breakfast, Sid's Mom explains that your stomach does not really talk to you, it just makes noises as it is getting ready to eat. Special Mom Day Meal - Part 3 | Sid the Science Kid

Sid and his classmates join Miss Susie to discuss what happens to food in our stomachs. Miss Susie shows the class a big picture of the insides of the stomach. She explains the path that food takes in the body and what happens during digestion. Sid learns that the noises his stomach makes are either his stomach getting ready for food or his stomach moving the food through the body. The class moves over to the Super Fab Lab to investigate more about how food moves through the body during digestion. Together the class will make a model stomach to see first hand what is going on inside their bodies!

Special Mom Day Meal - Part 7 | Sid the Science Kid

Sid leaves school after a day of learning all about digestion! On his car ride home from school, Sid's Grandma tells him a story about how sometimes your eyes are bigger than your stomach and even though you may want to eat a lot, your stomach can't always handle it! At home, Sid and his Dad serve his Grandma and Mom at their Special Mom Day meal! Sid explains that when your stomach rumbles, is its way of getting ready to digest food. Sid has the idea of creating a symphony of the noises that different peoples stomachs make!
