World War II Veteran Robert Weed
- Staff Sergeant, Army Air Corps | Georgia Oral History

Mr. Robert Eugene Weed, born in Chattahoochee County, Georgia on September 6, 1922, was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corp who served as a waist gunner flying missions out of England. Mr. Weed describes missions to eliminate manufacturing and industrial sites in Germany. The mission that he recalls as his most unnerving was flying through flack on the way to Berlin when his #2 tank was hit and rendered useless. Mr. Weed's other stories include missions bombing bridges and railroads in France.
