        World War II Veteran Moncher Ivey

        Mr. Moncher L. Ivey, Jr. was born in September of 1924 and served with the Navy in the Pacific Theater, spending most of his time on the U.S.S. English. Mr. Ivey remembers putting out fires on the U.S.S. Bunker Hill after a kamikaze attack, escorting the atomic bomb to Guam, and plucking a pilots out of open water.
