Indian Pride | Historical Overview | Part 2

JuniKae Randall, host of Indian Pride, interviews Dr. Duane Champagne, who serves on the faculty advisory committee of UCLA's Native Nations Law and Policy Center and is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in North Dakota. The interview covers a timeline that explains American Indian governance and relationship structures based on sacred creation stories before Christopher Columbus, through early interactions and treaty development between American Indians and the colonial and American governments, civil rights movements, to current self determination efforts.
