        Black Sunday In Elkhart, Kansas | Ken Burns: The Dust Bowl

        The huge Black Sunday storm of April 14, 1935, was the worst storm of the decade-long Dust Bowl in the southern plains. About a block and a half from his home in Elkhart, Kansas, Ed Stewart managed to take a series of photographs as the storm approached and then overtook his town, eventually enveloping everything in total darkness.
