        Killer Landslides | Ingredients of a Landslide

        Learn about the factors that contribute to landslides, in this video from NOVA: Killer Landslides. Soil composition and water play major roles in slope failures. Watch geomorphologist David Montgomery as he uncovers clues in the soil of the slope that failed in Oso, Washington in 2014. Record rainfall, on an already unstable slope, was an important factor in setting off the devastating landslide.
