Observe ocean surface flows around the world with this visualization from NASA. White lines trace the complex flows and eddies of ocean surface currents on Earth in this simulation based on observations by NASA satellites between July 2005 and December 2007. Four main surface currents are highlighted in the video and featured in additional images: the Gulf Stream in the Atlantic Ocean, the Agulhas Current in the Indian Ocean, the Kuroshio Current in the Pacific Ocean, and equatorial currents in the Pacific Ocean.
