Frame Ask your students to name some of their favorite foods and write down their responses on a board or flip chart. Make two columns and label one “Plants” and the other “Animals”.
Focus Tell your students you will be watching a clip from Dinosaur Train where Buddy and Tiny visit their Brachiosaur friends. Ask your students to notice the amount of food eat dinosaur eats, and identify which dinosaur eats the most.
Follow-Up Ask your children the following questions:
“What do Buddy, Tiny and Mrs. Pteranodon eat for lunch?” (Meat and fish)
“What do the Brachiosaurs eat for lunch?” (Plants)
“Who eats more?” (The brachiosaurs)
