Education in Kentucky I: Culture of Continuous Improvement

This three-hour course provides an overview of education in Kentucky, including a look at the state’s historical reform initiatives, beginning in 1990 with the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA), to the most recent changes brought about in 2009 by Senate Bill 1—the adoption of the Common Core State Standards and what that means in preparing Kentucky students for college and career. At the end of this course, learners earn a certificate of completion for three hours of PD and EILA Credit.
