Explore the lingering impact of 9/11 and a vision for interfaith relations based on friendship and human connection in this video about the relationship between Imam Khalid Latif and Rabbi Yehuda Sarna at New York University. NYU chaplains Imam Khalid Latif and Rabbi Yehuda Sarna share how the events of that day profoundly shaped what would become their mission: interfaith engagement. Today, they help lead NYU’s Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life, which has become a model for other universities. Students are asked to think about ways to challenge stereotypes, connect with students with beliefs different than their own, and reflect on the greater meaning of historical events like 9/11.
