        Tulip Poplar

The tulip poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) is one of the largest trees in the world. It can grow to heights of up to 120 feet. Although it is actually a member of the magnolia family, its blooms resemble the tulip flower, which is how it got its name. It can be found throughout the eastern and southeastern United States.
