Laura Poitras, Documentary Filmmaker | MacArthur Fellows Program

In this interview, 2012 MacArthur Fellow Laura Poitras shares her experience creating incisive documentary films that reveal the human face of seismic social and political events. Her signature work, a trilogy of feature-length documentaries about America’s war on terror, explores the human consequences of military conflict abroad. In her films, Poitras is chronicling some of the most pressing issues of the twenty-first century, particularly the war on terror, from the perspectives of the people who live with the costs. This resource is part of the MacArthur Fellows Program Collection.
