In this interactive, students explore three-dimensional scaling—how the volume of an object changes when all three dimensions are increased proportionally. Students determine the measurements of a three-dimensional object when it is scaled up by a factor of 10. The accompanying classroom activity invites students to compare the volumes and surface areas of two cubes of different sizes. This resource is part of the Math at the Core: Middle School Collection.
