Learn how to use inequalities in one variable to describe standard dimensions of soccer fields in this video from MPT. In the accompanying classroom activity, students write inequalities that reflect the range of values in standard soccer field dimensions. They then compare dimensions of their school soccer field to standard dimensions. To get the most from the lesson, students should be familiar with one-variable equations and with writing and interpreting statements of inequalities (without variables). For a longer self-paced student tutorial using this media, see "The Soccer Field" on *Thinkport* from Maryland Public Television.
