Hoop Dream: Use a Diagram to Solve Real-World Math Problems

In this Cyberchase media gallery, a series of short videos shows how the Cybersquad diagram their own attempts to score a basket in a game called Jimaya Jam in order to win their release from confinement. In the accompanying classroom activity, student pairs play a game of their own called Player Plotting, in which students independently plot points on a coordinate plane and see if the diagrams they create from their points match. This resource is part of the Math at the Core: Middle School Collection.
