        In this gallery of videos from a WGBH professional development webinar for Grades 6-8 educators, engineering education experts discuss the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the new focus on engineering in the classroom. The presenters also showcase the Teaching NGSS Engineering Design Through Media collection, a group of 34 classroom resources and 6 professional development resources that all support the new NGSS. Funded by Raytheon, the collection is a collaboration between WGBH and Engineering is Elementary, Museum of Science, Boston.

        Part I introduces the presenter: Dr. Martha Cyr of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, advisor to the “Teaching NGSS Engineering Design Through Media” project. Dr. Cyr has been leading the integration of engineering into K-12 classrooms since 1995.
