Breaking the Ice | Oh Noah!

Learn and practice Spanish, including vocabulary for drinks, snacks, and winter items, through the Oh Noah! Breaking the Ice webisode, related games, and lesson plan. In the webisode, Abuela is throwing a party and she indicates she needs more ice (“hielo”). But Noah misunderstands, thinking she’s showing him the polar bear on the empty ice bag—and he heads off to the Arctic to invite a polar bear to the festivities. Students can learn, build upon, and apply the Spanish vocabulary by playing the interactive games. In the Breaking the Ice lesson plan, students will practice this Spanish vocabulary through a variety of hands-on games and activities.
