        Airplanes: Designing for Stealth

This interactive activity from the NOVA details what aeronautical engineers must consider when designing an aircraft to avoid both human and electronic detection. It acknowledges that in the engineering design process there are necessary performance tradeoffs to achieving stealth, but in many cases the ability to evade enemy radar detection and missile defense systems is more valuable than speed.
