        Testing for Static Electricity

In this video segment adapted from ZOOM, cast members test for the presence of static electricity using a device called an electroscope. Viewers learn that rubbing certain materials together causes electrical charges to build up on the surface of one of the objects and that charge moves easily through conductors but not through insulators. This resource is part of the VITAL NY State Test Prep collection.
