        Can You See Me Now?

Explore how animals blend into their surroundings using camouflage in this media gallery from the PLUM LANDING: Explore Outdoors. This media gallery pairs a PLUM LANDING animation and a related hands-on activity to provide about one hour of programming. Start by having kids watch The Brick-Eating Ivy Mystery, a short video about animals using plants for shelter and camouflage. Then, head outdoors for a hands-on camouflage activity called Hiding in Plain Sight. If time permits, wrap up your day by completing one or more of the “Explore Some More” activities or play the Creature Connector game, in which kids solve ecosystem puzzles to help animals and plants get what they need to survive.

Find more environmental science resources at the PLUM LANDING website.

        The Brick-Eating Ivy Mystery

Plum sends Oliver and Gabi on a mission to investigate a myth that ivy can eat up a city. They discover that, while ivy may not be good for buildings, it can be good for plants and animals that depend on it to survive.
