        Waggle Dance

Lead students and families on an exploration of the ways plants and animals depend on each other to survive in this hands-on outdoor activity from PLUM LANDING: Explore Outdoors. How do busy bees “tell” each other where to find pollen? Families play bees who find “pollen” by doing a dance—the Waggle Dance—to find out. After playing, kids construct explanations based on their observations of how bees and plants depend on each other to survive.
