Fishing and Food Production of West Africa, 3000 to 1000 BCE

Students will read a short description of early human activity in Africa in the pre-historic period. Then they will explore a thematic map of West Africa that indicates the location of fishing and food production from before 3000 until 1000 BCE. Finally, students will answer two questions using the knowledge they learned from the map. To launch the activity, click the "Map-Based Exploration" image.
