        Egyptian Slaves

This wall painting from the Tomb of Rekhmire, vizier of Tuthmosis III and Amenhotep II, depicts both skilled workers and slaves, possibly Nubian slaves, at work on a wall. During this period, the 18th dynasty, raids into Nubia for slaves were common.
