        Making Observations of Fluids

In this video segment from Teaching Middle School Physical Science, teacher Ayala Galton asks her students to make observations during an investigation of different fluids. The students observe properties such as smell, solubility, and viscosity and try to expand their understanding of the relationships between liquids. Galton says that the activity helps students make connections between their observations and prior knowledge, although she concludes at the end of the video that the students need more help with the concept of solubility.
