First grade teacher Alicia Poulin uses books, videos, and digital games to build concept knowledge about animal adaptations. She then guides her students in formulating a question and a hypothesis before conducting an investigation. After analyzing the data and drawing conclusions, the students use PBS KIDS ScratchJr, a coding app, to write a science report about what they learned.
