Some things can be recycled, reused and reorganized. How can we be "Really Useful Engines" to keep the classroom organized? Discuss recycling after watching this clip from Thomas & Friends.
Frame the viewing: Ask the children what it means to recycle. If needed, provide school examples of recycling. Ask if any students practice recycling at home.
Focus the viewing: Tell children they are going to watch a video segment from Thomas & Friends. Ask the group to watch for what types of materials are collected for recycling.
Follow-Up:Ask the children to describe the objects that were being collected for recycling. Review how the school recycles some objects like paper and bottles.
