Trains come in all different sizes and colors - Thomas is the Number 1 Blue Engine, Percy is green, and James is red. There is a train for every color of the rainbow! Watch this clip from Thomas & Friends to identify the colors of the rainbow.
Frame the viewing: After asking children to share their favorite colors, ask them to identify the colors of the rainbow.
Focus the viewing: Tell children they are going to watch a video segment from Thomas & Friends. Ask the group to pay attention to the different colors they see on the train cars, on the lady's dress, in the feathers of the bird, and on the kite.
Follow-Up: After reviewing the colors of the rainbow, search for them around the classroom.
